Rewind policy

The awareness of 'race' as socio-political construct is now being embedded through our work in Sandwell strategies and policies for example, the Oldbury and Smethwick 'Race' equality scheme. "Within this policy document the term 'race' is defined as a socio-political construct. The PCT recognises that the term 'race' does not mean racial differences."  Oldbury and Smethwick is one of the first Primary Care Trusts in the country to acknowledge that race is not real.
