Rewind has been a partner in numerous projects such as;
- The reveal project funded by C21 Educate and peer train a group of young people from 3 projects in Sandwell (REWIND anti-racism project, SPACE Project- working with LGBT youth, Sandwell Young Carers - working with young people who have caring responsibilities for a family member) to deliver awareness raising work on these 3 issues to their peers around Sandwell.
- Bradford Pilot - programme for a peaceful country This project is funded by Regional Economic Development Agency (Yorkshire Forward) Churches Regional Commission. A pilot project as a response to the Ouseley Report following the Bradford Riots. Again it challenges racism and racist belief systems by exposing their origins based on foundations of untruths. A group of young people varied in terms of their academic ability, ethnicities, genders are being trained to deliver this work in their school initially. All aspects of this project are being evaluated by Bradford University and if the project is found to be successful it will possibly be rolled out to other schools in Bradford; as a way of addressing some of the issues of racism.
- The 'Isms' Project funded by Young Roots - The Heritage Lottery Fund. A project in partnership with 'Rising Youth' and project ran by Sandwell Youth Service and Ken Howell a local community artist, looking at the heritage of the human race and producing a cd rom and video (leading up to a physical piece of artwork) based on racism and the origins of the human race, training peer educators to deliver this work as sessional workers, and capacity building for the young people involved.
- Diversity Training REWIND is providing the 'diversity' training for the whole of one police OCU staff within Sandwell, the first round is being funded through our current funding strands as it falls within our remit, this may change in future years. REWIND work covers diversity issues although we choose not to call it such.
